• 5. Pair the Vocom II: install its driver package, connect via USB for first pairing (not Wi-Fi).
• 6. Activate the license inside PTT — full annual or per-operation must match purchase.
• 7. Connect to a Volvo or Mack and verify all ECUs enumerate (engine, transmission, VECU).

Where DIY installs fail (and the fixes)

• Certificate errors: the security certificate step is PTT's classic failure — it must be installed to the machine store, not the user store.
• Vocom II not found: first pairing must be USB; Wi-Fi pairing only works after the USB handshake.
• Runs slowly: PTT on 8GB RAM is miserable — 16GB is the real minimum, and an SSD is mandatory.
